Day 5

Today is Day 5. Today was a low key day, but quite busy at the same time. We had another leisurely morning and then got busy preparing for the next leg of the journey.

We ran several errands, got the car packed up, and planned the routes for the next 2 legs of the trip, did some laundry, etc. Tomorrow we leave at 3:30 am (that's 1:30 am AZ time) to get around the bottom of Lake Michigan before the huge rush. It can apparently present a grand opportunity for practicing patience, allowing and love at any time of day, but especially if you hit it at any time near rush hour. Anyway, we leave at 3:30 am on our way to Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. This will be our first camping of the trip. We will likely be in some rain on the way tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see how the rooftop carrier does in the rain, and then how dry the items inside end up being?!?

Another reason for leaving so early is so that we can find our way there, get across the border and have time to set up camp and have some time to relax before it gets dark.

I was able to spend a couple of hours at the Theosophical Library this afternoon. The grounds are beautiful (as the pictures above so aptly show).

We had another wonderful dinner with Azeem, Irum and Humza this evening. Then Malcolm was surprised with a Father's Day gift from them.
